His stats are wild (except charisma but game is shitting high charisma party members)ĭivine hound, he'll be on his mount on frontlines and using all his oppurtunity attack feats. I'd like to multiclass Lann into something like Divine hound or similar after 3 rd Zen Archer level.

Two-Weapon Fighting, Weapon Finesse, Fighter's Finesse, Weapon Focus (Gnome Hooked Hammer), Weapon Specialization (Gnome Hooked Hammer)ġ1: Improved Critical (Gnome Hooked Hammer) Skills: Level up perception with the extra skill points Inquisitor gives at level up, then pick whatever skill gap needs filling in your party. Swift Tactician Feats: Shake it off, Seize the moment Mythic Feats: Mythic Weapon Finesse, Mythic Two-Weapon Fighting, Mythic Improved Critical, Extra Ability: Magic Nullification, Mythic Weapon Focus Mythic Abilities: Leading Strike, Last Stand, Ever Ready, Everlasting Judgement, Rupture Restraints. I think this probably fits his personality even better than Hellknight/Armiger and gives him some extra tricks (lending Judgement, Greater Bane, lending teamwork feats, spellcasting, ect.) without sacrificing too much in the way of combat ability while eventually getting his Will save up to a decent enough level. (Armiger 5, Hellknight 1, Inquisitor 14 (Tactical Leader)) Dex +4, Wis +1. If enough people find this interesting, I'll post some more ideas in the future. If I missed something out that would improve the concept of the build, please give me feedback.Īlso, assume no Trickster Path as that skews everything massively. I'll post one, but please add any that you can think of.

There's a lot of good multiclassing options: you can either go the sneak attack route with a class providing that feature, or take 4 Fighter levels (Mutation warrior seems to be the best archetype) in order to take Weapon specialization and unlock the mythic version of that feat, which is very strong on a character having so much attacks with his full bonus. This is a thread for posting builds that work but probably aren't what the developers had in mind when they designed the companions. The 11th Zen archer level is awesome because it provides another attack with flurry of blows, but after that, there's nothing else really interesting to take, so branching out is better. When it comes to multiclassing, there's two very popular and efficient way to do things imo: either go divine caster route after level 3, or go full archer route by taking 11 Zen archer lvls. The ability to use his unarmed stike damage with his bow allows him to use shortbows without losing damage compared to a longbow, so he pairs quite well with another more traditional archer using longbows like Aru, in the sense that they aren't competing for gear. Though that spell list is a little underwhelming too)

(I'm thinking of letting him get True Strike and maybe Ki Arrows, then switching him over to either Mutation Warrior Fighter for Mutagen madness and tons of free feats or Demonslayer Ranger for some demon hatin' and a spell list so he can actually make use of his high Wisdom. That seems like a lot of micromanaging though, since that maxes out at about 10 feet after 3 feats and he'll never get that close on his own) (I think the build is trying to put him just behind the front lines and have him be a kind of turret with Snap Shot and Attacks of Opportunity. I'm not looking for a min/max build but I'm not seeing the benefits of keeping him there long term. Everything else seems to still be focused on getting him in the front lines as a tank/off tank fighting with his hands. The only benefits seem to be Ki Arrows, which he gets pretty quick and a few nice bonus feats (and an extra attack from Flurry of Blows, which he'll keep after an immediate reclass anyway). And his Zen Archery feat allowing him to use Wisdom instead of Dex is pointless since his Dex is so good. Almost all of his Ki Powers don't seem well suited to firing a bow (except True Strike). His Ki Strike bonuses (Magic, Lawful, etc.) only work with unarmed strikes and not his bow, unless I'm mistaken. I'm thinking of reclassing Lann, I feel like I'm missing the point of keeping him a Zen Archer.
